Happy 2015!

This is our first video update for the year and I’m really excited because we helped a lot of great buyers and sellers last year and right at the end of the year we were able to do a lot of cool things to make our sellers really happy.  We listed some homes and had a record setting month of December and reason for that was that our sellers took some great advise by properly pricing and preparing their home and ultimately getting their home sold at the end of the year.

The Orange County Register was looking for interesting articles to write about during Christmas time and they found us and wrote about “How to Get More Cha-ching in December.”  We helped the Harvey Family get their home sold over the Holidays.  We had met them through a relationship through Zillow and we help them understand that the Zillow estimate was not a proper estimate for their home.  They had a dollar goal of $540,000 in mind since that was what the market said their home was worth. We used our shifted market strategy by properly preparing their home by professionally staging it, had it cleaned up and painted and getting it ready for sale. 

We put it on the market for $479,000, which was significantly below the market, then the frenzy began.  We had over 300 people come through and over 150 agents interested in the home and ended up with over 20 offers on their home.  In the end, we helped the Harvey family sell their home for $575,000 and made them an extra $35,000.  There’s another family mentioned in the article and we did the exact same thing for them.
